A fellow at REI told me about a large rock formation called mitsy or misty rock in Uwharrie national forest. He said it was not well known or visited much. Perhaps off the beaten path a little?
Do you know what he was talking about?
If so what trail is it near?
Thanks.

Trailhead Traveler
Hi Mark!
He could’ve been talking about the Nifty Rocks maybe? They can be found in the Badin Lake Recreation Area of Uwharrie NF. The best trail to get to the rock formation would be Big Rock Loop Trail #705; trailhead near the Cove Boat ramp and Arrowhead Campground.
